On 17-21 April 2023 Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania Marius Skuodis visited South Korea
On 17-21 April 17-21 the Minister of Transport Communications of the Republic of Lithuania Mr Marius Skuodis visited South Korea. The main purpose of his visit was to establish closer cooperation between the two countries in the fields of maritime transport, telecommunications and logistics innovations. During the visit Minister also invited South Korean companies to invest more actively in Lithuania, to participate in the Klaipėda seaport development and alternative energy projects.
During the visit, the delegation led by the Minister met with South Koream Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Mr Hee-ryong Won, South Korean Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Mr Seung-hwan Cho, South Korean Viceminister of Science, Information and Communication Technologies Mr Yun Kyu Park, Mayor of Busan Mr Park Heong-joon, representatives of Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, KIFFA of Korea International Forwarding Association, managers of Posco Inc., SK Telecom and other companies, Korea Institute of International Economic Policy (KIEP) and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technologies (KAIST) representatives, Managers of the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The delegation also visited the largest South Korean seaports in Busan and Incheon to meet with the management of these ports. During the visit, a memorandum of agreement on cooperation between Klaipėda and Incheon seaports was signed.
